This season families will see a number of our popular groups returning such as our Music and Movement as well as the launch of new programming like Employment Prep and Level Up!

Music and Movement

Do you have a child who loves expressing creativity through music, art, and dance?

Our Music and Movement group for children aged 3-8 is an ideal way to combine the art of music and motion of dance through a variety of musical styles, gross motor movement and art!

This play-based program is designed to capture creativity while engaging the body in a variety of activities such as yoga, gross motor games, dance and more.

Each week will feature a different theme and new musical styles!

Arts and Crafts

Do you have a child who enjoys painting, colouring and making crafts?

If so, our 12-week Arts & Crafts Group for children aged 3-8 would be perfect to promote creative expression through the visual arts!

This play-based program will be facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and will provide opportunities to engage in art activities  including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculptures, tie-dye, and more! 

Each week will feature a different theme and new musical styles!

Children’s Social Group

Do you have a child who struggles with appropriate peer interactions?

Our 12-week Children’s Social Group is ideal for children aged 3-8 who struggle to make meaningful social connections.

This play-based program will be facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and is designed to teach and enhance socially appropriate behaviours and communication.

After-School Friendship Training

Do you have a child who could benefit from developing meaningful and appropriate connections with peers?

If so, our 11-week After-School Friendship Training group for children and adolescents between 6-12 years of age will offer programming for those looking to better understand and develop important social skills.

This social program is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and is designed to teach and enhance socially appropriate behaviours and communication.

NEW – Employment Prep 

Ready to join the workforce?

Our 11-week Employment Prep and Resume Builder program for teens and adults aged 15 and up is perfect for those wanting to learn more about the functional skills needed to find and maintain employment and/or experience in the community. 

Participants will learn skills that are useful for entry-level employment, develop a personal resume and cover letter, receive assistance in job-searches, and prepare for the interview process through theoretical and practical learning activities.

This skill-based program is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and is designed to help teach and is designed to provide foundational skills to support entry into the workforce and functional independence in the community.

Mindfulness

Do you have a child who struggles with self-awareness or has difficulty paying attention?

Our 12-week Mindfulness Group for adolescents 8 – 14 years of age is designed to support the development of mental health and improve focus. Through the use of mindfulness, participants will develop strategies that enhance body-mind awareness and facilitate more meaningful relationships with others.

 This skill-based program is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and includes both theoretical and practical learning activities.

NEW – Level Up! A Gaming Group

Ready for some gaming fun?

Our 12-week gaming group for those ages 12-17 is designed to promote social connections through a variety of games and activities!

From video games, to board games, to trivia and more, there is something for everyone! Participants will have the opportunity to cooperate and socialize over shared interests. 

This social program is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and encourages social connections and conversation in a casual group environment.

NEW – Music with Maheen

Do you have a child or teen who is interested in learning about music?

Learn, explore, and create music with a variety of musical instruments! Learn the basics of the guitar, play on the keyboard, dance to your favourite tune and sing along! 

This interactive group program is facilitatated by our talented ABA Therapist Maheen alongside volunteers. No previous musical experience is necessary

Teen Social Skills

Do you know someone who might need help decoding the social world?

If so, our 12-week Social Skills program for teens between 12-17 years of age might be the ideal fit! For those looking to better understand and develop social skills, this program offers programming focusing on communication,  non-verbal cues, building relationships, self-expression, problem solving, self-care and more!

This skill-based program is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and is designed to help teach and enhance socially appropriate behaviours in teens who might struggle making meaningful social connections.

NEW – Making Connections Play Group

Are you looking for a fun program for your child that encourages play with peers and the development of socially appropriate play skills?

Our 12-week Play Program for children 4-10 years of age is designed to encourage exploration and engagement in fun, interactive activities with peers in a supportive environment.

 This play-based program is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers and involves structured play activities that promote play skills and encourage interactive play with peers.

Teen Life Skills

Do you have a teen who could benefit from developing greater independence in their day-to-day life? 

Our 12-week Life Skills group for teens between 12-17 years of age is geared towards teaching important life skills needed to increase independence in daily routines. 

Each session is facilitated by ABA-trained therapists and volunteers with topics including cooking, navigating the community, self-care and more!
